2023 Shopping list

This is a reminder of the cost of my usual shopping, updated for 2023 for comparison to previous prices.

The bulk of my shop for fruit and vegetables now comes from the local Biocoop franchise. It’s a good place to get things loose, but the price of anything in a jar or packet is exhorbitant. Super-U, Intermarché, or sometimes even Lidl provide everything else. Lidl is a good source of things in packets and jars, but often has other things you never knew you needed until you saw them, so is mostly best avoided.

There are local markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but it’s rare I get to them.

Most things organic bought in a supermarket are own-brand. The prices shown are the average per-kilo price unless indicated otherwise by the table (or common sense).
